Choomba's Grace

A great time in my book is wondering the Atlanta Zoo from early morning to the late afternoon with my camera in hand. Often I would find Choomba quietly taking her time gathering a snack as she climbed the hill in her enclosure to a good resting spot. I appreciate the quiet moments the Zoo offers to observe the beauty of animals and the pace of life in their hands.

Choomba gave so much to the Atlanta Zoo and to the equal treasured Willie B her companion and mate.  Choomba had many friends, like Ozzie and children of her own.

It was a pleasure to look up at her.... my rightful place a good distance below with all the other chattering guests. I will miss this wonderful Grandma just as I have missed Wille.  A unique pair of positive individuals who showed the public wonderful patience  and embodied the full essence of Grace.
